The board of chewing gum manufacturer Wm Wrigley has elected Max Grishakov, vice president and general manager of Wrigley Russia, as an officer of the company.

Announcing the appointment, Wrigley’s board said that under Grishakov’s leadership Wrigley has become a leading confectioner in Russia. Since his appointment in 2004, Grishakov has overseen growth that has made Russia Wrigley’s third-largest market behind the US and China.

“Max is a valued member of our leadership team,” said Igor Saveliev, group VP and MD – East/South Europe. “Since joining the company in 1997, he has demonstrated strategic thinking and a focus on innovation. His experience, leadership skills and vision for Wrigley’s future will be substantial assets in his new role as an officer of the company.”

At a meeting held yesterday (24 May) the board also declared a regular quarterly dividend of US$0.29 per share.
