Omaha is the first city in the United States to roll in the dough and celebrate the Third Annual Albertson’s/Pillsbury Cookie Decorating Events.

The media and public are invited to join Big Brothers Big Sisters and the Pillsbury Doughboy(TM) on Saturday, Sept. 23 at 11 a.m. at the Albertson’s store at 3614 Twin Creek Drive, Bellevue, Neb.

Albertson’s and Pillsbury will kick-off the national program with a $4,000 donation to Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Midlands as well as a trip to Universal Studios in Los Angeles for a lucky Big Brothers Big Sisters mentor and child.

Albertson’s is partnering with Pillsbury to support Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) agencies nationwide. Throughout the month of October, Albertson’s customers will join together to help support their local Big Brothers Big Sisters agency and celebrate the Third Annual Cookie Decorating events in 36 cities around the country.

Big Brothers Big Sisters adult mentors and children will join the Pillsbury Doughboy(TM) at local Albertson’s stores. The Bigs and Littles can show off their talents by decorating cookies, interacting with the community and talking about the Big Brothers Big Sisters program.

To show appreciation for the BBBS volunteers who unselfishly give their time, a random drawing will be held at each of the 36 participating stores nationwide where a BBBS participant will win a trip for four to Universal Studios BBBS Day in Los Angeles in December, 2000.
