The Federal Trade Commission gave antitrust clearance for the Performance Food Group to carry out its proposed acquisition of Quality Foods Inc yesterday [Wednesday]. Foodservice distributor Performance Food agreed to purchase its sector rival in April for a deal valued at US$95m, including cash and the assumption of debt.
