Big Daddy’s BBQ Sauce & Spices, a wholly owned subsidiary of Big Daddy’s BBQ Racing Co., (Pink Sheets:BIGD) is pleased to announce the signing of an agreement with Clements Foods Company of Oklahoma City as the co-packer and hub-supplier of Big Daddy’s products. Clements has a major presence in the United States food industry as the co-packer of private label products for Super Value, Fleming, Wal-Mart, Safeway and Sam’s as well as nationally known brands such as Nabisco’s Grey Poupon mustard.

“We got the checkered flag on this one,” said Big Daddy’s CEO Dan Lloyd Sr. “Our outsourcing agreement with Clements — second only to Red Wing as a premier co-packer in America — is the final piece in our roll-out plan. We have great market presence with our auto-racing and rodeo sponsorships. We have an enviable distribution agreement with the nation’s leading marketer and distributor of natural and specialty foods — Tree of Life Gourmet Award Foods. Now we have cost-effective production through Clements and with their state-of-the-art facilities, the capacity to supply our BBQ sauces, marinades and dry rub coast-to-coast. This launches Big Daddy’s from a central-south-west regional brand to a national brand.”

Big Daddy’s national sales & marketing director, Ron Kasbaum, said the company’s positioning is the ultimate in cost-effective and efficient production and distribution. “All Big Daddy’s needs are met with two companies. Clements produces and ships directly to Tree of Life which has 19 regional warehouses and supplies 33,000 stores worldwide. The Clements deal allows the expansion of Big Daddy’s products throughout the Wal-Mart and Safeway retail chains and we anticipate a national roll-out through Wal-Mart stores within 60 days. Our products on those shelves will have an updated look with distinctive checkered flag labels and the latest in packaging.”

Big Daddy’s BBQ Sauce & Spices is an Oklahoma-based company specializing in barbecue condiments. Currently, the company’s products include Big Daddy’s BBQ Sauce, mild and hot, Big Daddy’s Meat Marinade and Big Daddy’s Gourmet Seasoning. The products are distributed by Tree of Life Gourmet Award Foods and are available in Wal-Mart SuperCenters in the south-central states as well as other national and regional grocery chains. Big Daddy’s also has a letter of intent to acquire the award-winning Big Daddy’s/Sonora Brewery of Phoenix which won the World Beer Cup 2000 Silver Medal in the English-Style Mild Ale category on June 19 in New York. The largest and one of the most prestigious international brewery competitions, the World Beer Cup featured 64 categories of beer-types, with 1,127 entries from breweries in 39 countries.

Big Daddy’s has strong affiliations with the Indy Racing League (IRL), the International Hot Rod Association (IHRA), the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) and NASCAR on the auto-racing circuits and the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA), the Professional Bull Riders (PBR) and BULLNANZA on the rodeo circuit as the sponsor of teams at a number of venues.
