USA: Brabeck promises to continue with Ralston’s canine philanthropy
Nestlé CEO, Peter Brabeck-Letmathe, is insisting that the US$10bn takeover deal with Ralston Purina will not mean the end to the pet food company’s canine philanthropy. 106-year old Ralston has a long history of pet food donations, proving dinner for both hungry huskies and abandoned pets, and Brabeck stressed his respect for these good deeds is such that Nestlé ownership will not influence their continuation negatively.
