Cacique®, the country’s leading manufacturer of Mexican style cheeses and creams, has committed to helping the community by lending their support to two Bay Area charitable organizations. For almost 30 years, Cacique® has been producing with pride, quality and tradition, the most popular cheeses, creams and other Mexican-styles products in the Nation. They will be kicking off the campaign by hosting events at local retailers. A percentage of the profits garnered between July 29th and September 10th will be donated to the two Bay Area charities.

Cacique® is using their resources to support two Bay Area non-profits in their “Una Mano Amiga(TM)” (Lend a Helping Hand(TM)) promotional campaign, Diabetes Society and Las Isabelas. Monies raised during this campaign will be distributed equally amongst these two organizations.
The Diabetes Society offers its service to an estimated 150,000 people with Diabetes in the Santa Clara Valley. The funds raised during this promotion will be used to support the Hispanic Education Program. Las Isabelas empowers Latinas with strength and hope to fight cancer. The funds raised will be used to provide FREE Spanish language cancer support groups for women and their families.
From July 29 through September 10, Cacique® will have booths with live broadcasts from the most popular local radio and TV stations at participating grocery store locations. Every Saturday & Sunday, shoppers and the general public can show the receipt from their purchase of Cacique® brand cheese, or donate a minimum of one dollar directly to the charity, and they will have a chance to spin a wheel to win various prizes. In addition, free diabetes screenings will be available to the community throughout the campaign.
