Potash Bros Supermart, operating two stores in the downtown area, is to launch its business online this week through the website, www.PotashBros.com

Using the MyWebGrocer Consumer Direct Solution, Potash will deliver to households within the area bordered by Fullerton Street on the north, Halsted on the west and Congress on the south.

Art Potash, VP of Potash Bros, said: “Our family has been selling groceries in the downtown Chicago area for over 50 years. We work  hard to satisfy our customers. Part of competing successfully is our willingness to go the extra mile and deliver our customer’s groceries to their door.

“The local competition has yet to launch an online service. MyWebGrocer more than levels the competitive playing field for us. They do the heavy lifting as far as the processes, systems and application are concerned.”

MyWebGrocer’s President, Mike Spindler said: “We are excited to welcome Potash to our client roster […] We estimate that 50-80% of Potash’s online customers will come from competitors. We base this on our experience with our other clients. We also see the online channel as the fastest growing business within the Supermarket business with same store sales growth more than doubling each year.”
