Corn Products International, Inc. (NYSE: CPO) yesterday announced that its board of directors elected Richard J. Almeida, 59, and James M. Ringler, 56, as board members effective immediately.
Along with these two additions, the board approved an increase in the number of its directors by two to a 13-member board.

Almeida is chairman and chief executive officer of Heller Financial, Inc. Prior to this position, he was executive vice president and chief financial officer for the company. He also serves on the board of directors for Fuji Bank and Trust Company (N.Y.).
Ringler is vice chairman of Illinois Tool Works Inc. Previously, he was chairman, president and chief executive officer of Premark International, Inc. He additionally serves on the board of directors of The Dow Chemical Company.
