DALLAS–(BUSINESS WIRE)–DG Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: DGIT – news), the leading digital technology provider for managing and delivering short- and long-form audio and video content to the broadcast industry, today announced that Popeyes Chicken & Biscuits, a division of AFC Enterprises (Nasdaq: AFCE – news), and its advertising agency, Hill Holliday, have employed DG’s web-based AdCatalog product to ensure reliable, convenient and cost-efficient dissemination of ad-related information to Popeyes seven regional ad agencies which serve over 1,450 franchised locations worldwide.

DG’s AdCatalog is a media asset management tool specifically designed to support advertisers and agencies who need to efficiently distribute and easily update video and audio spots as well as related marketing materials to a large network of customers. DG created a custom Popeyes intranet, available through a secure server that is accessible at any time and from anywhere in the world, that allows everyone involved in the Popeyes advertising efforts to view, catalog and archive audio, video and print ads.

Commenting on the roll-out, Philip Fogleman, Director of Advertising for Popeyes Chicken & Biscuits, said, “The implementation of AdCatalog helps us enhance communications to our franchisee community. As speed-to-market is very important in the quick service restaurant industry, AdCatalog gives us an advantage by eliminating the dub-and-ship process. In addition, this technology is saving us time and money.”

AdCatalog is being deployed by advertisers such as Popeyes, McDonald’s and Hasbro, and is one of the All Digital Lifecycle products from DG Systems designed to replace tapes, trucks and paper throughout the lifecycle of a TV spot. Other products in the lifecycle include the recently announced NetClear for electronic network and legal clearance and Electronic Digital Distribution, which has become the most pervasive and lowest cost method for delivery of video spots to TV stations.

“We are pleased that Popeyes chose our ad specific AdCatalog product,” said Len Marotta, Product Manager for Media Asset Management products at DG Systems. “It is always a challenge for a quick service restaurant system such as Popeyes, with more than 1,450 franchised locations, to keep regional advertising teams abreast of new marketing materials available to them. AdCatalog will make such materials available conveniently, reliably and 24 hours a day, seven days a week.”
