EComm Systems (CDNX: ES.U) announced today that its foodservice subsidiary COMMkitchen.com (www.commkitchen.com) has entered into alliances with Hobart Corporation, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of foodservice equipment; and Foodvision.com, Inc., the operator of an innovative food and beverage Internet portal at www.foodvision.com that provides foodservice content for Yahoo! and CNN Interactive.

Hobart Corporation has selected COMMkitchen, with its distribution partner Strategic Equipment and Supplies, as its first preferred online dealer. Hobart’s “Preferred Dealer” program is designed to make Hobart products easier to locate on the Internet and enhance the Internet selection and buying experience of Hobart customers.

“This is a way to strengthen our relationships with our dealers and make it easier to do business with us,” said John McDonough, vice president, sales and marketing, foodservice, Hobart U.S. “Both our dealers and customers will benefit from this arrangement.”

COMMkitchen has also formed an alliance for a co-branded marketing initiative with Foodvision.com. COMMkitchen’s on-line custom procurement programs for commercial foodservice operations, such as restaurants and hospitals, and its Virtual Showroom® of 25,000 items for every commercial foodservice requirement, will be available to Foodvision.com’s users.

“COMMkitchen is a good strategic fit for Foodvision.com as we expand our offerings,” said Raj Kalra, CIO, Foodvision.com, Inc. “COMMkitchen provides the next step in ecommerce: real-time B2B buying on the web.”

“These are important alliances with long-term participants in the foodservice industry,” added William A. Zemlak, chairman and CEO of EComm Systems. “We’re delighted to bring our Internet transaction capabilities to these outstanding organizations as this industry adopts online procurement as its standard.”
