Buckman brings more than 25 years of experience in the independent grocery business to his new role with Edgewood Creek. For the past 15 years he worked at Draeger’s Markets, the nationally renowned food and wine emporium, serving as Head Buyer for Specialty Foods since 1989. In this position, Buckman worked with more than 800 manufacturers and was responsible for developing and expanding product categories as the retailer grew from one to three San Francisco Bay Area stores. Buckman also oversaw product promotion and Draeger’s advertising and trade show participation. Prior to joining Draeger’s, Buckman spent eight years at San Francisco Bay Area specialty retailer FoodVille of San Carlos.
