Imagine creating your own rich and creamy cheesecake without ever setting foot in the kitchen. It may seem like a futuristic fantasy, but hold onto your apron strings! Eli’s Cheesecake of Chicago has just introduced Eli’s C-Cake…the cheesecake that you make online and can ship anywhere in the Continental United States.

Simply log onto www.elicheesecake.com and select “Create Your Own C-Cake” from Eli’s shop online page and choose either an Eli’s Original Plain or Chocolate Chip Cheesecake. Next select one ingredient from each of the following categories: 1) topping (chocolate, caramel, whipped cream, white chocolate mousse, and chocolate mousse); 2) candy/nut decoration (Heath®, Reese’s®, Snickers®, pecans, toasted almonds, or pralines); and 3) confection (chocolate chips, chocolate curls, confetti, rainbow sprinkles, gummy bears, or Oreo® cookie pieces). That means that you have the possibility to create over 800 kinds of Eli’s Cheesecakes. Eli’s custom cheesecakes also include a personalized message and a complimentary hand-piped border. Eli’s C-Cakes are 75-80 oz., serve 14 and cost $49 plus shipping. “Create Your Own C-Cake” orders will be received in 7-10 business days.

“The beauty of Eli’s C-Cake is that we are able to offer customers the fun of creating their own cheesecake, the convenience of shopping online and the assurance that every Eli’s C-Cake is hand made with the highest quality, all natural ingredients to achieve the best taste and appearance. I guess you could say we’re high-tech yet hand made” says Eli’s Cheesecake President, Marc Schulman.

According to the book Food Finds: Americas Best Local Foods and the People Who Produce Them, (the mail order bible for food that also has a series running on The Food Network which will feature a segment on Eli’s Cheesecake) “Eli’s cheesecakes have a pure and simple ingredient list, and it shows. The taste is smooth, fresh, and light. These are attention-getting cakes that can travel hundreds of miles and arrive picture perfect.”

Eli’s Cheesecake was originally created by famous restaurateur, Eli Schulman, as the signature dessert at his popular Chicago restaurant, Eli’s the Place for Steak.

Celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, Eli’s Cheesecake has grown from a local favorite to the country’s largest specialty cheesecake bakery making over 15,000 cheesecakes per day at Eli’s Cheesecake World, the 62,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art bakery, retail store and visitors’ center located on Chicago’s northwest side.
