USA: Flowers Foods completes acquisition of Bishop Baking assets
US packaged foods manufacturer Flowers Foods has announced that its acquisition of the assets of Bishop Baking Company from Kellogg, which was announced in November, has been completed. The transaction was an asset purchase for an undisclosed amount of cash. Further terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Bishop Baking Company, with annual sales of approximately US$30m, operates one bakery in Cleveland. Bishop’s products, a line of fresh snack cake items, are distributed nationwide. Kellogg acquired Bishop with the purchase of Keebler in March 2001.
