Packaged bakery goods manufacturer Flowers Foods has agreed to acquire the assets of snack cakes manufacturer Bishop Baking from US food company Kellogg.

Flowers Foods said that Bishop Baking, which Kellogg acquired last year as part of its purchase of Keebler Food, has annual sales of around US$30m.
The deal is expected to be closed early next year, reported Dow Jones Newswires.
