Starbucks Coffee Company (Nasdaq:SBUX) and Fresh Choice, Inc. (Nasdaq:SALD) have signed a licensing agreement that will bring the leader in specialty coffee into select Fresh Choice Express restaurants.
The first licensed location will be unveiled in early November when a Fresh Choice Express opens in the recently completed “Shops at Willow Bend” in Plano, Texas. Additional licensed locations in select Fresh Choice Express restaurants will be determined jointly by Starbucks and Fresh Choice.

Under the agreement, fully-branded licensed Starbucks locations will be an integrated element into Fresh Choice Express restaurants and will offer handcrafted espresso beverages, drip coffee and a selection of freshly baked pastries. Fresh Choice Express restaurants feature a selection of fresh salads, signature soups, baked potatoes and made-to-order grilled sandwiches.
