The US functional health products industry is expected to maintain fairly strong growth over the next five years.

A compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 6.6% between 2003 and 2008 will drive the market value from US$28bn in 2003 to nearly $39bn by 2008.

This is a slight reduction in the growth of the last five years, during which time the industry grew at a CAGR of 8.2%.
