USA: General Mills backs full-year earnings guidance
US cereal maker General Mills has back its fiscal 2004 earnings forecast of US$2.85 to $2.90 per share, with sales growth forecast at 6% over the previous year. The company said results for the year to 30 May would include 10-15 cents per share in charges for restructuring and items related to its acquisition of Pillsbury, reported Dow Jones News.

The company said results for the year to 30 May would include 10-15 cents per share in charges for restructuring and items related to its acquisition of Pillsbury, reported Dow Jones News.
General Mills also said that it expects to post annual earnings-per-share growth of at least 11% on average, and sales growth of around 5% through to fiscal 2006.
