Land O’Lakes, Inc. yesterday announced that Karen M. Grabow has been named Vice President of Human Resources at Land O’Lakes, effective September 1, 2001. Grabow replaces Jack Martin, former Vice President of Human Resources, who retired in June. Grabow has more than 25 years of experience in the human resources area including executive and leadership positions at Target Corporation and Personnel Decisions, International (PDI). Most recently, Grabow served as Vice President of Human Resources for Target Stores.
“We conducted an extensive search of both internal and external candidates, seeking an individual with a broad range of business and leadership capabilities,” said Jack Gherty, Land O’Lakes President and Chief Executive Officer. “We are confident that Karen Grabow will bring the qualities we need to provide the best human resource services and to continue to hire, train and retain the very best employees in the industry.”

Grabow has a Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational and Counseling Psychology from the University of Minnesota (Minneapolis, Minn.), a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, with Phi Beta Kappa honors, from the University of Illinois (Champaign, Ill.), and is a licensed psychologist in the State of Minnesota. She has been a guest lecturer at the University of Minnesota, Macalester College and professional conferences.
