Horizon Organic Holding Corporation (Nasdaq: HCOW), the nation’s leading producer of organic dairy products, today announced a new United Kingdom (U.K.) management structure for 2001.

Don Gaidano, Horizon Organic’s current U.K. financial director, has been appointed managing director reporting to Mark Retzloff, Horizon Organic’s president, International. Together with Horizon Organic’s established U.K. executive team, Don will coordinate organic milk supplies, production and sales from the company’s processing plants in Devon and Wales. Don has 25 years experience in the food industry, the last four of which have been with Horizon Organic in the U.S.

Gaidano replaces Jeremy Deacon, a consultant with Eurolaunch b.v., which had facilitated Horizon Organic’s U.K. acquisitions program that included Rachel’s Organic Dairy, Organic Matters and Meadow Farms.

“Thanks to help from Eurolaunch, Horizon Organic has established itself as a leading provider of organic milk in the U.K. We are now on course to introduce a series of Horizon Organic branded products alongside our own-branded services to our supermarket clients. This is a very exciting time for the organic dairy sector which offers tremendous growth potential. Together with our retail partners, we aim to gradually expand the market for organic milk,” stated Gaidano.

Horizon Organic produces and markets the leading brand of certified organic milk and a full line of refrigerated, certified organic dairy products. The company also markets certified organic eggs and juices. Horizon Organic products can be found in conventional supermarkets and natural foods stores across the U.S. and in the U.K. For more information, visit the Company’s web site at www.horizonorganic.com.
