Sugar Land, Texas-based Imperial Sugar Company (ISC), the largest processor and marketer of refined sugar in the US, has named Arthur Saxby as VP, marketing, effective yesterday [Monday].


This is a newly created position in which Saxby will be responsible for all consumer and industrial marketing activities of ISC, including product development, market expansion, customer partnering and all promotional activities.


Saxby joins ISC with experience in all aspects of consumer packaged goods marketing both in the food and beverage industry and in other industries. In particular, he spent seven years with the Minute Maid Company as brand manager of various products. Most recently, he has been involved with internet access marketing for Compaq Corporation. He also has had marketing responsibilities for Kellogg Company and Frito-Lay.
