Intercorp Excelle Inc. (NASDAQ: RENE), manufacturer of Canada’s No.1 refrigerated salad dressing, Renee’s Gourmet(TM), announced today that it has secured new listings of Renee’s Gourmet(TM) and Renee’s Gourmet Naturally Light(TM) dressings in supermarket chains which include Harris Teeter’s, Wegmans, Lunds/Byerly’s and Fairway Markets in the USA.

These chains operate a total of approximately two hundred and thirty (230) stores in eight states, including New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia, North and South Carolina, Georgia, and Minnesota.

Alysse Unger, Business Development Director of Intercorp Excelle, said, “We are thrilled with the success of these launches, and initial favorable acceptance of our superior quality dressings from new Retailers and consumers south of the Canadian border. This will most certainly open up additional opportunities to introduce the Renee’s Gourmet(TM) brand name to other major regions within the U.S. marketplace.”

She continued, “Our strategic vision has focused on penetration into the United States market with our Branded refrigerated products. This represents an extremely positive major step in that direction. The U.S. market in our category is growing very rapidly and we have been far and away the dominant category player in the Canadian market for years. We intend to bring to U.S. consumers the same combination of extraordinary taste, quality, health and value that has driven our Canadian success.”

Arnold Unger, Intercorp’s CEO continued, “This is an exciting year for the Company. We set aggressive sales growth targets in excess of 30%, and we are over delivering on those objectives, and doing this profitably. All business segments are meeting planned objectives, in addition to the successful branded launches mentioned above. After successfully acquiring A1® Steak Sauces for the Canadian market last year, sales are nearly 50% higher. The best is yet to come from Intercorp, both in new product launches, new customers, and new markets. We believe this success is the result of our historic commitment to our customers; to provide superior quality products and ongoing value.”
