Jamieson replaces Donald H. Twiner, who has been appointed chairman of Robin Hood Multifoods and will remain with the company to facilitate smooth succession until his planned retirement on 30 June 2003. Jamieson’s appointment as president is effective immediately.

“Don has had a long career at Multifoods, and we have greatly valued his many contributions,” said Gary E. Costley, chairman and CEO. “Robin Hood flour and baking mixes, and Bick’s pickles and condiments are two of Canada’s best-known brands. Under Don’s leadership, Robin Hood Multifoods has built strong partnerships with customers and has made consistent contributions to Multifoods’ performance.

“In Jamieson, Multifoods is adding another consumer packaged foods industry executive to lead one of our operating divisions,” Costley added: “We look forward to his contributions.”

Jamieson was president of Pillsbury Canada Ltd. from 1998 to 2001. He is currently chairman of the Canadian Food Industry’s Task Force on Foods from Biotechnology, and until recently, was vice chairman and treasurer of the board of directors of the Food and Consumer Products Manufacturers of Canada.

Twiner has been president of Robin Hood Multifoods since June 1997 and was elected a VP of International Multifoods in July 1999. From 1989 to 1997, he headed Robin Hood Multifoods’ consumer foods operation.
