PROVIDENCE, R.I.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Johnny Rockets, the All-American hometown hamburger and malt shop where locals get the “Best Hamburger in Rhode Island,”(a) has joined forces with “Rhode Island’s favorite Web site,”(b) OSO.com, to launch the Rocket-Cam, the first-ever Web cam in a Johnny Rockets restaurant.
The Johnny Rockets Rocket-Cam at the Thayer Street restaurant in Providence, the newest of OSO.com’s seven Web cams throughout the state, offers Rhode Island residents an opportunity to share their Johnny Rockets experience and dine virtually with family and friends around the world.
“We are thrilled to be the first restaurant to offer our guests the Rocket-Cam,” said Lloyd Sugarman, franchise owner. “At Johnny Rockets, we pride ourselves in providing a fun and memorable experience for our guests, and now with the Rocket-Cam, that experience can be seen anywhere in the world in an equally fun and interactive way.”
Family and friends simply visit OSO.com and type in key word “Rocket Cam” to view.
Johnny Rockets’ menu offers classic All-American fare including hamburgers, hot dogs, American fries, onion rings, sandwiches, hand-dipped shakes, and freshly baked apple pie. Newly enhanced menu items include a turkey patty option for all hamburgers, Chicken Tenders and a Chicken Club Salad. Every Johnny Rockets looks authentic and resembles a malt shop straight out of the post WWII years, with red bar stools, chrome accents, and U-shaped black counter tops. Tabletop jukeboxes belt out tunes for a nickel, and “soda jerk” uniforms outfit the servers.
The Thayer Street Johnny Rockets is located at 269 Thayer Street and is open daily from 11 a.m. to midnight Sunday through Thursday and from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. on Friday and Saturday.
Since the first Johnny Rockets restaurant opened its doors in 1986 on trendy Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles, the company has grown to 139 corporate and franchised restaurants in 27 states. The company’s expansion also extends to nine countries around the world and aboard Royal Caribbean Voyager class cruise ships.
