Frozen food company Kahiki Foods has announced a series of changes to its senior management, including a new vice president of science and innovation, a new vice president of sales and a new vice president of marketing and logistics.


 


Alfred Cheung was named to the newly created position of vice president of science and innovation. Cheung joined Kahiki in July 2003 as vice president of operations after having had a combined 25 years of research and development experience with Kraft Foods, ConAgra, Lee Kum Kee, and H J  Heinz.


 


In his new position, Cheung will lead the company’s technological, regulatory, and new product development efforts.

Gil Wilson was named vice president of sales. Wilson joined the


company in May 2002. He had previously held the position of director of sales


for the company. Prior to joining Kahiki, he served as a regional sales


manager with Heinz / Ore-Ida Foods. 


    Mark Novak was named vice president of manufacturing and logistics. Novak joined Kahiki in January 2005 as director of purchasing and cost


control.  He worked in the natural foods manufacturing and distribution


business for over 17 years where he held the positions of chief operating


officer and chief executive officer with Arrowhead Mills, Inc.

They are intelligent, experienced, have strong leadership skills, and will help build Kahiki Foods into an outstanding company.”


 


The company also announced the resignation of Julia A Fratianne as treasurer and chief financial officer effective 16 December 2005. Kahiki has commenced a search for Fratianne’s replacement.
