US discount retailer Kmart has named Bruce Johnson, Janet Kelly and Lisa Schultz as senior vice presidents.

The Troy, Michigan-based company, which recently emerged from bankruptcy, said Johnson would take up the position of senior vice president of supply chain and operations. He was previously employed as director of organisation and systems for French retailer Carrefour, reported Dow Jones News Service.

Kelly, who is to join Kmart as chief administrative officer, previously held the position of executive vice president of corporate development and administration, general counsel and secretary of US cereal maker Kellogg.

Schultz, who will take on the role of chief creative officer, has previously been employed by US clothing company Gap as executive vice president of product development and design.
