US food giant Kraft is to appoint Betsy Holden, its former co-chief executive, as head of global marketing as part of a move to restructure the way the group is run.
Holden was recently demoted from the role of co-chief executive, while the company’s other co-CEO, Roger Deromedi, was made sole chief executive of the company.
The new structure is part of a general move to run the group on a more global basis. Previously, Kraft’s North American unit and its international businesses had managed their products region by region.
In her new role, Holden will oversee a group that devises marketing strategy for Kraft’s operations worldwide. The group will be split into Kraft’s four main product areas: snacks, beverages, dairy products and ready meals, reported Reuters.
