Branded food giant Kraft Foods has announced new appointments in the senior management of Kraft Foods and its North American business.
“These changes will benefit our people and our business,” said Betsy D. Holden, Co-CEO of Kraft Foods and president and CEO, Kraft Foods North America. “By giving these senior leaders challenging new assignments, we will enhance their development, while the new perspectives they bring will strengthen our businesses.”
Marla Gottschalk, 41, currently executive VP and GM, post, has been named to the newly created position of senior VP, financial planning and investor relations for Kraft Foods, reporting to James P. Dollive, CFO for Kraft Foods.
In addition, Kraft has named Maria A. Sceppaguercio, 40, VP of investor relations, reporting to Gottschalk. Sceppaguercio was formerly VP, investor relations for Nabisco Inc. She succeeds Gordon Fruetel, VP, investor relations, who will be appointed to a senior auditing position at Philip Morris Management Corp.

By GlobalDataSarita Nayyar, 41, VP strategy, desserts & cereals, has been named executive VP and GM, post, reporting to David Johnson, group VP and president, beverages, desserts and cereals.
Nayyar joined the General Foods business in 1987 and has held a number of marketing positions with increasing responsibility. In 2001 she adopted her current position.
Mark Pettie, 45, executive VP and GM for enhancers, has been appointed executive VP and GM, coffee, also reporting to Johnson. Pettie succeeds Bridgette Heller, executive VP and GM, coffee, who has announced that she is leaving the company to pursue other interests. Pettie joined General Foods in 1981, where he held a number of positions in finance and marketing. He assumed his current position in 2001.
Gerald E. Coghlan, 45, executive VP and GM, Kraft Cheese, has been named executive VP and GM, enhancers, reporting to Mary Kay Haben, group VP and president, Cheese, Meals and Enhancers.
Coghlan joined Kraft in 1980. He has held a number of marketing positions, and in 1998 he was named VP, marketing strategy for Kraft Cheese and in 2000 was named to his current position.
Kevin Ponticelli, 44, executive VP and GM, pizza, has been appointed executive VP and GM, Kraft Cheese, reporting to Haben. Ponticelli joined Kraft in 1981 in marketing and has held a number of positions of increasing responsibility in marketing and sales. He was named to his current position in 2000.
Rhonda Jordan, 43, VP of marketing for pizza, has been named executive VP and GM, pizza, reporting to Rick Searer, group VP and president, Oscar Mayer, pizza and foodservice.
Jordan joined the company in 1987 in marketing and has had a number of marketing positions in the organisation. In 2000 she was named to her current position.
Kevin Scott, 42, executive VP and GM, Boca Foods, has been appointed executive VP, strategy, reporting to Dave Owens, senior VP, strategy. Scott joined Kraft in 1988 in operations and two years later moved to the Pizza Division where he held a variety of marketing and strategy positions with increasing responsibility.
