Kraft Foods Inc., the nation’s largest packaged food company, announced today the launch of an integrated promotion to extend brand reach and awareness online.

The Big Tuna Kahuna promotion was created specifically to increase awareness for Miracle Whip® Salad Dressing, Kraft Mayo® Real Mayonnaise and StarKist® Tuna. The online creative for The Big Tuna Kahuna integrated promotion was developed and executed by Promotions.com (Nasdaq:PRMO – news), the Internet promotion experts.

Designed to increase online awareness for Kraft Foods, and StarKist Foods Inc., “The Big Tuna Kahuna sweepstakes” (http://www.bigtunakahuna.com) provides online support to an expansive offline marketing campaign. Specially — marked packages of Miracle Whip and Kraft Mayo feature detailed information about the promotion prompting consumers to enter. Kraft Foods is lending support to the program with a cents-off FSI in major newspapers distributed to 40 million households. The FSI features the promotion URL and invites consumers to visit the site and enter the promotion for their chance to win one of thousands of prizes and access special tuna recipes from Kraft Foods. Once at the site, consumers enter their email address and register. Participants are then asked to type in the unique ingredient that makes their tuna salad special. Upon entering their secret ingredient, participants are automatically entered into the sweepstakes. Grand Prize for the sweepstakes is the Big Island Adventure Trip, a 7-day expense paid trip for four to Hawaii.

The Big Kahuna sweepstakes will also receive online banner support from the Miracle Whip.com, Starkist.com and Supermarket.com sites. The promotion ends December 31, 2000.
