Wall, who has also been elected an officer of the company, previously served as corporate vice president of human resources, a position she had held since last June.


Prior to that, she served as vice president of compensation and benefits for two years and vice president of deferred benefits for one year.


Wall will report to David Dillon, Kroger’s chief executive officer.


Cincinnati, Ohio-based Kroger operates around 2,500 supermarkets and department stores across the US.
