Mille Lacs Gourmet Foods has revealed that it has recently completed the purchase of Texan confectioner Duo Delights.
Mille Lacs, a division of The Wisconsin Cheeseman, develops, produces and distributes gourmet gifts and food components across the US, Canada, and Mexico.
Jay Singer, president of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin-based The Wisconsin Cheeseman, welcomed the buyout, stating: “Duo Delights is a natural addition to our company that will enable us to utilise our personnel and facilities that are already in place.
“We look forward to the opportunities this line has to offer and the new dimension it adds to Mille Lacs Gourmet Foods.”
Duo Delights, which focuses on manufacturing gourmet white confections, will be able to grow its product portfolio with access to Mille Lacs’ chocolate manufacturing facility. The Duo Delights brand will continue to be used nationally and internationally.
