NBC Internet, Inc. (Nasdaq: NBCI), a leading Internet portal company that brokers information, commercial, and entertainment transactions, yesterday announced a strategic distribution agreement with Domino’s Pizza, the recognized world leader in pizza delivery, to offer Domino’s pizza-eaters a free nationwide Internet access service through an agreement with myfavoritei.

The new co-branded NBCi.com/Dominos free Internet access service will be distributed and marketed by Dominos through a variety of offline and online mechanisms — including direct delivery of CD-ROMs affixed to Dominos pizza delivery boxes in select markets; in marketing messages that have been printed on Dominos pizza boxtoppers; in Dominos newspaper advertising inserts; and within Dominos doorhanger materials.

The co-branded free ISP also is available immediately for download at www.dominos.com, and relies on a customized, co-branded version of the new NBCi.com Internet portal as the service’s front-end. This co-branded Dominos.com/NBCi.com portal offers powerful ways for users to access personalizable Internet content and services, along with targeted Dominos promotions and special offers, including select market online pizza ordering.

Dominos will distribute and market the new free ISP to its customers, NBCi will provide the service’s front-end, with Internet connectivity and customized CD-ROMs provided by myfavoritei (www.myfavoritei.com), a free Internet access offering powered by 1stUp.com Corporation, a leading provider of ad-supported Internet access and a majority owned operating company of CMGI, Inc.

As part of the agreement with Domino’s Pizza and myfavoritei, NBCi will count all user traffic towards its overall traffic numbers, will sell and serve advertising opportunities and will manage all service membership and related data from the new NBCi/Domino’s Pizza free Internet access service.

“We are pleased to offer Domino’s customers a customized version of the NBCi.com portal coupled with free Internet access,” said Will Lansing, CEO, NBCi. “This agreement with Domino’s and myfavoritei further builds on our strategic goal of acquiring NBCi members at a low cost and nurturing relationships with them by offering highly relevant content and e-commerce opportunities.”

This relationship with Domino’s Pizza builds on NBCi’s new distribution strategy with marketer-provided Free Internet Access Services and further complements NBCi’s current roster of major Internet Service Providers, telcos, cable companies, computer hardware manufacturers and others currently distributing NBCi services, including such major brands as Prodigy/SBC, US West, and RealNetworks. NBCi’s flagship consumer Internet portal service, NBCi.com (www.NBCi.com), officially launched on September 25th is intended to serve as a user’s “Personal Agent on the Web” by aggregating highly personalized, entertaining and relevant Internet content, utility and commerce. The new NBCi.com offering provides Internet search and directory, information, shopping, direct e-commerce, entertainment, personal file storage, personal home pages, communications and community services for both narrowband and broadband users.
