Foodservice marketer and distributor Sysco Corporation has announced the appointment of Philip C Lahm as president and CEO of Sysco Food Services of Metro New York.


Lahm, currently executive vice president of that company, will assume his new responsibilities on 5 September 2005. He succeeds Thomas H Russell, who was named vice president of Sysco Corporation and chairman and chief executive officer of The Sygma Network, Sysco’s chain restaurant distribution subsidiary, in an earlier announcement.


Sysco Food Services of Metro New York, LLC, provides food and related products to restaurants, healthcare and educational institutions, lodging establishments and other foodservice operations throughout northern New Jersey and the five boroughs of New York City.
