Ocean Spray Ingredient Technology Group (ITG), which supplies fruit ingredients, has announced that it has opened a new state-of-the-art processing plant in Middleboro, Massachusetts, US.

The company said the new capacity is aimed at meeting growing European demand for its sweetened dried cranberries and flavoured fruit pieces. As the Middleboro plant gets fully operational, Ocean Spray has already announced plans to double the new plant’s production capacity in the next year.
Ocean Spray’s sweetened dried cranberries and flavoured fruit pieces are used in a variety of bakery, confectionery, snack and cereal applications.
Ocean Spray ITG is part of US food and beverage company Ocean Spray Cranberries.
