Richmond, Va-based Performance Food Group (PFG), marketer and distributer of over 51,000 national and private label food and food-related products, will be providing foodservice distribution for about 200 additional Ruby Tuesday restaurants in the Mid-Atlantic and New England states.

PFG already provides services 255 Ruby Tuesday restaurants. Under the agreement, the company will also begin serving 17 American Cafe and four Tia’s Tex Mex restaurants.


Thomas Hoffman, senior VP and president of PFG’s Customized Foodservice Division, said: “We are very pleased about expanding our customised distribution relationship with Ruby Tuesday. We plan to start serving a portion of these restaurants during the Q4 2002 with the balance being phased in at the end of the Q1 2003.


“Our Elkton, Maryland customised distribution warehouse will serve nearly all the additional restaurants.”


PFG said that it anticipates the contract, when fully implemented, would mean about US$120m in additional annual sales and expand PFG’s service to about 75% of the Ruby Tuesday system.
