California-based chocolate maker Scharffen Berger has introduced two new products: the Gianduja, a rich dark chocolate bar with roasted hazelnut, and El Carmen, a smooth chocolate bar with red fruit flavours.

The Gianduja will be available at retailers stocking Scharffen Berger products and at Scharffen Berger’s retail outlets and online store. El Carmen is a Limited Series offering available only at Scharffen Berger retail outlets and select merchants.
Scharffen Berger said that although it mainly blends cocoa beans from multiple origins to produce different flavours, on rare occasions it finds a single bean with a flavour profile to justify a Limited Series edition. These bars are available in small quantities for limited periods of time due to scarcity of bean supply or fluctuations in flavour from harvest to harvest.
