Seattle Coffee Company, a subsidiary of AFC Enterprises, Inc., announced the appointment of four new members to its executive team – Sheri Miksa, Chief Operating Officer, Marge Barnette, Vice President of New Business Development, Martin C. Wehr, Chief Foodservice Officer and Sue McNab, Vice President of People Services and Development.


As Chief Operating Officer for Seattle Coffee Company, Sheri Miksa has responsibility for retail operations, support services, product development, marketing and domestic franchising for Seattle’s Best Coffee and Torrefazione Italia Coffee. She was previously Chief Operating Officer for the company’s Seattle’s Best Coffee subsidiary, and has an extensive background in operations and marketing in the foodservice, hospitality and packaged-good arenas. Prior to joining Seattle Coffee Company, Miksa was Vice President of Operations at LSG Sky Chefs, one of the world’s largest international airline caterers. She also held management positions with Taco Bell, Frito-Lay, General Foods and AIRCOA. Miksa holds an MBA from Stanford University and a BA from the University of Alaska, serves on the Board of Directors of the Women’s Foodservice Forum and chairs the Forum’s Mentor Program.


Taking on the role of Chief Foodservice Officer, Martin C. Wehr is responsible for the Foodservice Division of Seattle Coffee Company as well as all wholesale departments including marketing, customer service, direct commerce and training. With more than thirty years of experience in general management, sales, marketing and business development, Wehr is a valuable addition to the company. Wehr has held executive positions with Aegis Analytical Corporation, Colorado Greenhouse, Inc., Hauser, Inc., Dreyer’s and Edy’s Grand Ice Cream, Inc., Minibar, Inc. and Heublein, Inc. Wehr graduated from the University of San Francisco and is Charter President of the Boulder Flatirons Rotary, Chair of Rotary Foundation and Executive Vice-President of Meals on Wheels of Boulder County.


As the new Vice President of People Services and Development, Sue McNab is responsible for leading employee services, communication and community partnership initiatives. Sue has over thirty years of experience in human resources and retail operations as a Vice President with Wizards of the Coast, Ernst Home Centers, and Lanoga Corporation. Sue holds an MBA from University of Puget Sound, an MA from University of Maryland and a BA from Purdue University. Sue serves on the Boards of Seattle Rotary, Intiman Theater, With Grace and the Whidbey Institute


As Vice President of New Business Development, Marge Barnette takes on the responsibility of overseeing the Franchise Sales departments of both Seattle’s Best Coffee and Torrefazione Italia Coffee. Marge has previously served as Vice President of New Business Development for Popeyes Chicken & Biscuits, a division of AFC Enterprises, Inc. Marge has also served as Co-Director/Vice President and Treasurer for U.S. West Education Foundation, as President of MCBA Food Service Enterprise and in various positions with ARAMARK Foodservices. Marge is a graduate of Chaminade University in Honolulu and attended the University of San Francisco MBA Program.
