USA: Seneca sells three former Chiquita plants to Lakeside Foods
Vegetable processor Seneca Foods has said it has completed the sale of three former Chiquita Processed Food plants in the Midwest to Lakeside Foods for around US$45.6m.
Vegetable processor Seneca Foods has said it has completed the sale of three former Chiquita Processed Food plants in the Midwest to Lakeside Foods for around US$45.6m.
Seneca said it plans to sell another former Chiquita plant in Poynette, Wisconsin to Lakeside by the end of July. The terms of that deal are still being negotiated.
Seneca acquired Chiquita Processed Foods from Chiquita Brand International in May for $128m in cash and stock.
