The office will staff six sales professionals dedicated to working with Southstream’s growing customer base of West Coast food service, restaurant chains and retailer outlets. The company’s new office will enable it to exercise better control over its Pacific species inventory, which currently accounts for over 30 percent of total product. Tom Whiteside. West Coast Sales Manager, will be spearheading operations at Southstream Seafoods, Seattle. Whiteside has over 21-years experience in the food industry, the last ten with the Ledyard Company Inc., a Santa Cruz, CA. broadline food distributor. He has held various positions at the company, starting as Distributor Sales Representative, moving to Frozen Food Buyer, and finally, Commodities Protein Manager.
