USA: Starbucks customers go online in 1,200 coffee shops
US coffee shop operator Starbucks has switched on Internet connections at 1,200 outlets. The move allows customers with laptop or notebook computers to check email or work files while having a coffee. The Seattle-based chain has chosen T-Mobiles HotSpot wireless high-speed Internet offering to service the connections. A further 800 stores are scheduled to go online later this year.
