US coffee shop operator Starbucks has switched on Internet connections at 1,200 outlets.
The move allows customers with laptop or notebook computers to check email or work files while having a coffee. The Seattle-based chain has chosen T-Mobiles HotSpot wireless high-speed Internet offering to service the connections. A further 800 stores are scheduled to go online later this year.
