Struthers, Inc.(OTCBB: STRU), a world leader in animal reproductive biotechnology, announced today that the Company’s sales of its TenderPrime(TM) gourmet quality pork has now exceeded over 30,000 pounds per week, exceeding the Company’s production goals for the first quarter, 2001.
Struthers began initial shipments of TenderPrime(TM) to institutional customers in November 2000. Based upon the current growth in demand, the Company is in the process of revising its target production levels for the remainder of the first quarter and the year 2001.
In a related Company press release January, 17, 2001, the Company reported the results of product testing conducted at Johnson and Wales University in Charleston, S.C. Chef Instructor’s at the world’s largest Culinary and Hospitality school were asked to give their assessment of Struthers’ Tender Prime(TM) pork products. When asked to rate the product on tenderness, flavor, texture, and yield, the 15 Culinary professionals responding to the survey categorized Struthers’ Tender Prime(TM) pork loin as being as good or superior to other competing brands. The overwhelming response when asked to assess the product was excellent. John Kacala, CEC, AAC American Academy of Chefs, representing Johnson and Wales University and The Greater Charleston chapter of the American Culinary Federation in the National Pork Council’s annual pork cook off had these words, “Struthers’ Tender Prime(TM) pork loin has impressed me for many reasons, the marbling, texture, moistness, and yield are all excellent. It is a tender product with good flavor that will enhance any dining experience.” In keeping with the gourmet quality and value of the TenderPrime TM product theme, the Company has recently added a compliment of all-natural breading mixes, BBQ sauce and an additional product line of USDA Certified Organic flour products.
