In this position, Pylipow is responsible for the company’s human resources functions including talent management, employee and labour relations, compensation and benefits, and leadership and organisational development. In addition, Pylipow oversees the office services organisation at the company’s headquarters location.


Pylipow succeeds Ron Tortelli, who has served as senior vice president of human resources for Supervalu since 1988 and will retire at end of the year after 36 years with the company.


Pylipow was promoted from his position as senior vice president of human resources for Save-A-Lot, Supervalu’s discount retail chain.
