Tropicana Products yesterday [Wednesday] announced a voluntary recall of 128 oz/gallon “super size” Tropicana Pure Premium Calcium Orange Juice in a plastic bottle with an expiration date of APR15 printed on the neck of the bottle.

The recalled product was sold only to Sam’s Clubs. A limited number of bottles of this product may contain a cleaning solution used in the production process. The presence of this cleaning solution in the product could cause mouth and/or stomach distress.
The product has already been removed from the sales floor, and consumers should return the 128 oz. Pure Premium Calcium orange juice to the Sam’s Club where purchased for a refund.
About 500 bottles of 128 oz. Pure Premium Calcium orange juice were inadvertently exposed to a cleaning solution used in the normal cleaning of bottling equipment. In the interest of consumer safety, however, Tropicana is voluntarily recalling the entire production run sold to Sam’s Club. No other Tropicana products or sizes are affected nor are other retailers.
