The US Apple Association (USApple), the national trade association representing all segments of the apple industry, has announced the appointment of Adam F. Sullivan as its new industry services manager, effective 29 April.
Sullivan will oversee USApple’s industry information programme, including compiling and publishing the association’s monthly survey of apple movement and storage, market news, and responding to industry and external requests for industry statistics.
“USApple is pleased to welcome Adam, whose strong industry background and knowledge will enhance our efforts on behalf of the entire US apple industry,” said USApple president and CEO Kraig R. Naasz. “Adam’s enthusiastic attitude and deep industry roots offer the ideal combination for this highly demanding position.”
Sullivan interned with USApple last summer and gained valuable experience working across the entire gamut of USApple programmes, including the industry information programme. Sullivan will use that experience and knowledge in his new role.
Sullivan succeeds former industry services manager Mark Nicholson, who will remain in the apple industry as the business development manager for his family’s orchard and fresh juice operation, Red Jacket Orchards, Geneva, NY. Nicholson, who had worked with USApple for nearly three years, intends to remain active in USApple activities, as an association member.
