US fastfood company Wendy’s International is searching for a new chief marketing officer after announcing that Don Calhoon, executive vice president of Wendy’s marketing is moving into a semi-retirement role.


The company said Calhoon, who has been with the company for 26 years, will assume new responsibilities and will assist chairman and chief executive officer Jack Schuessler with enterprise marketing opportunities and initiatives.


The company said it has initiated a national search for a new executive vice president and chief marketing officer for the Wendy’s brand. The position will continue to report to Wendy’s North America president and chief operating officer Tom Mueller.


Wendy’s said Calhoon will continue in his current role until the new executive vice president is hired.
