Boulder, Colo.-based natural and organic foods retailer Wild Oats Markets is to close its Natural Marketplace store in Cleveland, Ohio on 1 June 2002.

The company cited the results of an internal analysis of the Shaker Square store, which found that it is not viable in its existing location.
Wild Oats did say however that it is still committed to the Cleveland market and plans to identify sites for additional Wild Oats stores that meet its new format and store profile in the near future. The 64 store employees have been offered the opportunity to relocate within the Wild Oats chain or to take a severance package.
