US natural and organic foods retailer Wild Oats Markets has announced that Robert Dimond has been named senior vice president and chief financial officer, effective 28 April.

He succeeds Edward Dunlap, who has served in the position since December 2001, and is now senior vice president of operations for Wild Oats.
Most recently Dimond was executive vice president and chief financial officer for regional supermarket firm Penn Traffic. He has also served as executive vice president, chief financial officer and treasurer for US food retail and distribution firm Nash Finch. Prior to that, he was group vice president and chief financial officer for the western region of US food retailer Kroger.
