Joanne Gage joins Winn-Dixie as the senior director of consumer and marketing services, with responsibilities entailing managing the electronic marketing and consumer affairs departments and assisting with the public and community relations functions. Prior to joining Winn-Dixie, Gage spent 18 years with Price Chopper Supermarkets in Schenectady, NY, where she served as the VP, consumer marketing services since 1992.


Larry Beck, a Winn-Dixie employee for more than three decades, has headed up advertising, marketing and consumer affairs in both the Miami and Orlando divisions. In April 2000, Beck was transferred to Jacksonville as corporate marketing manager. Most recently, he was corporate promotions/special marketing manager under the new marketing structure.


Judy Holland is the new director of consumer affairs, reporting to Gage. Prior to joining the Winn-Dixie team, Judy worked for The Kroger Co. for more than 20 years as consumer affairs manager.


As director of corporate brand marketing, John Opasinski joins Winn-Dixie from Andersen Business Consulting, where he was a senior manager specialising in retail management. His duties at Winn-Dixie include increasing brand awareness, developing the annual corporate plan for marketing various Corporate Brands, maintaining budget of the annual corporate plan, and maintaining synergy between marketing, merchandising, label design and advertising for corporate brands.
