US grocery retailer Winn-Dixie Stores has announced that Mark Sellers has been named group vice president of retail operations, effective immediately.

In his new role, Sellers will be responsible for supervising Winn-Dixie’s US division managers engaged in the day-to-day operations of the company’s stores. Sellers, who has held numerous leadership positions in the company, most recently as division president of South Florida, will report directly to Frank Lazaran, president and chief executive officer.
Winn-Dixie also said its senior vice president of operations, John Sheehan, has been re-assigned. The company has initiated a search for his successor but in the interim, corporate store operations functions will report directly to Lazaran.
