Campbell joins the WWRE in support of its customer-centric supply chain strategy, recently unveiled as part of the company’s Transformation Plan. The Exchange will provide Campbell with immediate access to 58 global retail companies and a suite of business solution tools for customer collaboration. Campbell has immediate plans to engage in the WWRE’s WorldWide Item Management solution, which consists of a global catalogue and item synchronisation service, and its eProcurement suite.

“We welcome Campbell to the Exchange and look forward to collaborating with Campbell on the WWRE platform,” said Gerald Storch, vice chairman of Target Corporation.

“Campbell’s decision to join the WWRE proves their commitment to customer service,” said Howard Befort, senior vice president, supply chain, Safeway. “We look forward to engaging Campbell in the various supply chain solutions offered on the WWRE’s platform. We also want to welcome the company to participate on the Food Vertical Board, our member-led group responsible for capturing food industry requirements for WWRE solutions and service development.”

“Campbell is committed to achieving the highest degree of accuracy and efficiency in working with our customers. The WWRE is a component of our information and customer management strategy, and will provide us with a means to rapidly achieve these goals with more of our trading partners,” said Larry McWilliams, Senior Vice President and Chief Customer Officer at Campbell Soup Company.

“Campbell strongly supports the use of information standards in the deployment of both public and private technology, and membership in the WWRE affords Campbell an opportunity to work with some of its key trading partners on the development and adoption of global industry standards,” said Doreen Wright, SVP and CIO at Campbell.

“We are very happy to welcome Campbell to the Exchange and look forward to drawing on their industry knowledge to further develop the WWRE as a global, neutral platform for retailers and manufacturers,” said Colin Dyer, CEO of the WWRE. “They’re focused on two key areas: improving their supply chain and working closer with their customers. The WWRE will help them meet these needs, as well as bring them closer to our common strategic partners, i2 and IBM.”
